Residents of the Hamburger Community of Live organise both individual and collaborative events with their fellow residents programmers, but also work closely with the artist-residents of the Art community, amounting into a wide range of events in which residents can inspire each other to look beyond familiar territories. Hamburger Community of Live are provided with their own communal office/workspace in Roodkapje, three mentorships by experienced organisers, programmers or bookers throughout the year, and a stipend in the form of a monthly fee. The mentorships for the 2022 year are divided among Dennis Muñoz Espadiña/Hogus Bogus Publishing, Frederic van de Velde/Futura Resistenza and Sickhouse (Overkill Festival Exchange) (these plans can be subject to change), are diverse in learning curve and focus, and will help residents develop various new skills as well as their ability to organise and produce innovative and inspiring live events. Together with the Head of Live, the residents will command a working budget to organise events with, and Roodkapje will invite various experts from the cultural industry for specific guidance sessions throughout the year.
