Niko’s sun-kissed, propellant brand of indie rock is peppered with angular riffs and infuriatingly catchy choruses. Frontman Nik van den Berg cunningly undercuts the group’s sparkling melodies with his deadpanned, bemused lyrical delivery. That contrarian streak was already present when Niko started as a solo project in Los Angeles with the EP You Might Like It, But I Might Just Hate It and Melk.
On Friday September 24th Niko will bring their finest indiening to Roodkapje.
