Bergmál + Able Noise

Bergmál is a cosmic folk/art pop project based in Rotterdam, created by Bergur Anderson. Bergmál means echo in Icelandic — and literally, it means language of mountains. Maybe that says something about the music. It’s a kind of calling outwards, a sonic projection and reflection of experiences, a melodic bouncing off-and-around things. It doesn’t sit easily in a musical genre, but follows it’s own eigenweiss nature — or spirituality — that’s dedicated to playing with the art and form of song.

This night at Roodkapje will be a special one as it’s the first time Bergmál plays as a four-piece band. Accompanying Bergur (vocals, guitar) are Biba Cole (trumpet, keyboards, vocals), Leonard Prochazka (drums) and Arie van Vliet (bass). dedication, the first single from in ye lightness, is out on April 8, 2026.
