Inner-basement Label Night #2

We would like to invite you to celebrate the release of Innerbasement V-A Cassette featuring bands from the Rotterdam Underground on February 21st, 2025.
Inner-basement will produce the cassettes, a Rotterdam-based diy label run by Loveth Besamoh. This event will be in collaboration with Hiddenbehindmist an event promoter and visual artist from the Rotterdam underground scene.
The Lineup:
Kamiel Thomas:
Working explicitly with cassette, Kamiel Thomas’ work is vulnerable and often peaks at the occurrence of imperfection. The acoustic guitar-based songs are dreamy and saddening yet of a romantic spirit. Following the debut mixtape Accidental Sounds, a new single called FLOWERS will come out on February 21.
Poodle:
Jangly, not-so-nuanced guitar tunes with a hefty mix of percussion: five-piece band Poodle delivers danceable, fluffy garage pop with a strong dose of energy, humor, and quirkiness that keeps every foot moving. Expect a cheerful chaos that keeps things lighthearted for both the band and the audience. Think Hinds, Wet Leg, Parquet Courts, Sports Team, and Iguana Death Cult.
Fellatio:
Fellatio is een zelf uitgeroepen uitgeroepen avant-garde disco punk- post-penis kraut-rock Trio uit Rotterdam. We introduceren een existentieel perspectief met onze repetitieve, hypnotiserende, pulserende krautzgeluid.
Loveth Besamoh/Innerbasement:
Loveth Besamoh is a multidisciplinary artist from Rotterdam who runs a DIY cassette label. He releases bands on cassettes he dubs and creates at home.
Matthias Carter:
Matthias Carter (hiddenbehindmist) is a French/English visual artist; currently based in the Netherlands. His collection of works uses a mixture of traditional and experimental mediums, such as digital collages and videos. Matthias explores the idea of loss of control. A reflection of the anxiety and chaos of a digital native trying to experiment with new tools. Under the pseudonym hiddenbehindmist, Matthias organizes concerts, produces videos for performing artists, and performs live analog visuals.
Niek van den Driesschen:
Niek from Faorout Sound Studios Rotterdam will do a Vinyl DJ set to close the night. Farout Sound Studio is a connection point for the Rotterdam underground scene, where Niek records, mixes, and masters artists in his Analogue studio.
