(Dis)enchantment 🔮 Esoteric AI Zine-Making workshop by AIxDESIGN & Internet Teapot
We invite you to come and investigate new ways of thinking about technology, to break away from scientific reasoning and instead explore alternative ways of imagining, understanding, and engaging with AI.
In the workshop we will make a zine together where we create new lens of looking at AI by taking inspiration from magic, divination, folklore, and other types of seemingly ‘illegitimate’ arcane knowledges and practices. With this we will both challenge normative ways of thinking about and making AI, and suggest possible alternatives.
So come join us in creating a collection of collages, comics, stories, poems, essays and anything else that comes to mind when imagining Esoteric - meaning enchanted, disenchanted, alternative, fresh, and different, and new - AI technologies.

Karla is a researcher, designer, and digital project manager from Peru currently doing her PhD in Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam.
🧚 HOST: ADRIAAN ODENDAAL
