Roodkapje is Rotterdam's local laboratory for
ART X LIVE X FOOD and everything in between
8 June 2024
Snõõper + HOON
Nospray x Rotown x Roodkapje present
Snõõper, support: HOON
Snõõper (the project) originated as a collaboration between local punk veteran Connor Cummins from Nashville and Blair Tramel, an elementary school teacher with a side job in razor-sharp animation and art. As their fast, straightforward punk, cassette tapes, and homemade videos spread among fans worldwide, the duo took the project to the stage in the fall of 2021, and Snõõper (the band) was born.
With one of the wildest live shows, featuring a whirlwind of puppets, 8-bit animation, papier-mâché, whistles, flashing lights, and a frenzy of bodies, Snõõper translated the live experience into a studio environment with their debut album "super Snõõper." This band came, saw, and conquered, continually winning over every audience they face. Expect a whirlpool of moshing bodies, loud and fast punk, and rhythms as tight as a drum.
This evening is hosted by Nospray, a Rotterdam-based DIY collective with a keen ear for the most exciting bands of tomorrow. Uncompromising and punk, in both love of music and work ethic, a Nospray line-up gives as much attention to innovators in guitar music as it does underrated bands of the past. The local music scene is flourishing faster than ever since Nospray's arrival, and that's no coincidence.
