The London four-piece Folly Group creates stubborn and pointy post-punk with edges as sharp as a razorblade. Their high-energy, high-tempo but lo-fi tracks pound forward relentlessly as a 48-hour-long rave, as frantic and ecstatic as being awake for all that time, with boxy hooks and absurdist lyrics woven seamlessly together.
Despite having released a few singles and EPs, the anticipation for their debut album is palpable. Especially their first single Fashionista is still considered a big hit, and a delicious beginning to their oeuvre. Be warned, much like their music, their live performances are equally dynamic and energetic. It's bound to be an exhilarating experience.
