Together with Rotown, Roodkapje, NoSpray, Motel Mozaique Concerts, Maassilo and Haze Wave Social Club, we’re hosting a very special concert night in Maassilo with OSEES, Library Card, The People's Pleasure Grounds
Garage rock and OSEES are more often than not part of the same sentence, these two are inseparably bound together. The band around John Dwyer was one of the pioneers in the garage rock revival of the early zeroes. The hyperactive, gritty, and bouncy ball’esque guitar music traveled to all corners of the world, and keeps returning to Rotterdam for highly energetic live shows and lots of moshpits.
Library Card, Rotterdam based post-punk meets spoken word, is a true underground all-star group, with members from various bands including Neighbours Burning Neighbours, the Lumes, Laundry Days and Nagasaki Swim. Exciting noise-punk driven by quasi-casual, yet chilling poetry ready to set the mood.
The People's Pleasure Grounds will serve a good time with psychedelic sounds and 60s guitars. You might know vocalist/guitarist Jimmy de Kok from the iconic Iguana Death Cult or his choices in the finest records as a DJ to rock the hips in the old-fashioned way. As The People's Pleasure Grounds, Jimmy de Kok is given carte blanche to interpret the most catchy surf/garage songs imaginable.
This concert is organized by Rotown, Roodkapje, NoSpray, Motel Mozaique Concerts, Maassilo and Haze Wave Social Club.
