Roodkapje is proud to present the first public screening of Lavinia Xausa’s documentary film ‘So Loud the Sky can Hear Us’, that is currently playing online at IFFR. Part of the RTM Pitch program, Lavinia Xausa was awarded the prestigious RTM Pitch award for promising film makers that allowed her to turn her research into this documentary film.
To celebrate this first physical screening, Lavinia will introduce you to the film herself, Antonio Ponse will recite poems in which he expresses his love and admiration for Feyenoord, and of course we will show you the film itself along the installation ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply’ that currently inhibits Roodkapje’s exhibition space.
In addition to this screening event, ‘So Loud the Sky can Hear Us’ will be shown in Roodkapje at the following dates and times:
Sunday, 6 February: 18:00 & 20:00
Saturday, 12 February: 18:00 & 20:00
Sunday, 13 February: 18:00 & 20:00

This event and screenings are made possible with the kind supervision and support by IFFR and the RTM Pitch program.
SO LOUD THE SKY CAN HEAR US at IFFR
So Loud the Sky Can Hear Us explores the identity of a group of Feyenoord supporters. They unfold a hidden world of faith, love, compassion, and vulnerability. As Xausa attempts to trace back the 'lost voice of God' among the voices of the supporters, she wonders how the lost monophony of ancient chants may turn into a new polyphony.
Between Thursday 27 January and Sunday 06 February So Loud the Sky Can Hear Us will be on view during IFFR.
