HCA WORKSHOP | Clay your Saturday Away: an online ceramics workshop with Danielle Hoogendoorn

Saturday, February 6th, 14:00 – 17:00 hours

Tickets: € 12,50 (including materials) https://roodkapje.stager.nl/web/tickets/111048156

Please note: Ticket Sales will close after January 28 to guarantee pickup.

In rich, fantastical and brightly coloured fairytale works, Danielle Hoogendoorn unfolds a world in which animals take center stage. As Roodkapje regulars already know, Danielle’s comical, touching ceramics animals are brilliant. Now she is giving you the opportunity to learn how to make your favourite (fantasy) pet yourself, in this – very first – Roodkapje online ceramics workshop!

HOW IT WORKS:

Buy a ticket for the workshop before January 29th.

Come to Roodkapje on 4 (13:00 – 19:30) and 5 (17:00 – 19:30) February with your ticket (digital/printed) to pick up your portion of (stoneware) clay (and pick up a nice meal while you’re at it!)

Join us for the workshop online through Zoom on February 6th. (The Zoomlink will be supplied when you pick up your clay)

In the week after your workshop, carefully return your sculpted animal to Roodkapje (again during the Burgertrut opening hours), where Danielle will fire your work in the ceramics oven. Afterwards you will be messaged when to pick up the result!

MATERIALS & FIRING

All necessary materials will be provided by Roodkapje, and are included in the price of the workshop. Danielle will fire your ceramics expertly for you. After both parts of the workshop you will be notified when you can pick up the final result.

HAMBURGER COMMUNITY OF ART

Roodkapje’s artist-in-residency program The Hamburger Community of Art is based on the principles of experimentation, collaboration, and the development of new artistic practices. What can artists learn from each other? How can (young) artists stimulate their development collectively? And what can artists learn from society and vice versa?
