// PERMANENT RECONSTRUCTION //

Saturday the 14th of december 2019 we hosted our last event at Roodkapje before Covid-19 hit the world. For obvious reasons we haven’t been able to organise anything and have been craving the opportunity to do so. Luckily limitation tends to lay down a base for creativity and in our case for a new format that we’re proud to announce. On December 19th we present the first edition of an A/V performance series at Roodkapje. For the first edition we’ve invited Italian born Irene Cassarini a.k.a Guenter Raler and Bound Centre affiliate Airflo to join and present to us their A/V live performances. Irene Cassarini is a producer, DJ, sound designer and visual artist from Bologna now based in The Netherlands who has shared the stage with artists like Alessandro Cortini, How To Dress Well, Dis Fig among others. Airflo returns to Roodkapje for his second performance at Bound Centre after his set as part of the Blindead AV project last year.

Guenter Råler is the alias of Irene Cassarini (1995), Italian producer, DJ and visual artist now based in the Netherlands. Her music style focuses on avant-garde electronic music, musical blends and unconventional rhythms, combining different genres together in an eclectic energizing journey. She has participated in various festivals in Italy and Europe, opening concerts for international artists like Giant Swan, How To Dress Well, stranger and Kedr Livanskiy. She is currently a resident DJ at Stranded FM radio, where she hosts an experimental/future club show called ‘Sound Extremism’. Her productions explore post-digital aesthetic and experimental club music, where the connection between human and mechanical processes converge into an emotional deconstruction. The sonic world aim to deconstruct rhythmic patterns, creating an amorphous, majestic but unstable and often alienating sound flow. From trance-y high pitched synths to a hibernated rave euphoria, weightless disassembled sounds fill a hypersaturated soundscape.

In his work, Airflo explores the unconscious. He takes the unknown from chaos and gives it form through his audiovisual art. This manifests itself in ambient, trance-like results with the aim to create a worthy focus for our spiritual attention.
