deBasement
Welcome to deBasement – born from the afterhours parties of Montreal and New Orleans, deBasement is comprised of Alli Logout, iconic vocalist of the critically acclaimed punk outfit Special Interest, and Margo XS, an esteemed DJ and highly in-demand producer who collaborates with pop stars such as Zara Larsson and Kim Petras, and underground darlings like Ayesha Erotica and Mowalola.
Blasting onto the scene with their double single debut “FRONT LEFT SPEAKER / FTDJ (Thank God)” via In Real Life [Peggy Gou, Erika DeCasier, Luna Li, MethMath] in August, deBasement has already captivated listeners with their futuristic production, punk confrontation and undeniable vocal hooks. Deeply inspired by and uplifting their FLINTA community, deBasement is rewriting the rules of LA’s DIY queer rave scene with their explosive live sets, and has already supported acts like Model/Actriz, Hannah Diamond, and Marie Davidson (who will feature on their debut EP outFeruary 2025). With just a few releases under their belt, the duo’s unique blend of dance punk and modern ghettotech has already caught the attention of Pitchfork, AG Cook’s Wandcamp Media, Our Culture Mag, Matt Wilkinson on Apple 1, Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 1, and more. In a landscape saturated with predictable dance music, deBasement is injecting a much-needed dose of raunchy, raw authenticity – and its only just the beginning.
Plastic Persoon
Since we are all simultaneously yelling how unique we are, I decided to rename myself Plastic Persoon. An Avant Gabber act consisting of Sob (45ACIDBABIES, FFOOSS) and Juna (Imhotel, Gita Buhari). Both brutally loud and relatable to people who want change. Kicking against the status quo every minute of every day is exhausting. Plastic Persoon is a coping mechanism.
Aidan
AIDAN is the solo-project of British-Dutch singer, songwriter en multimedia artist Aidan Smit. Dark, infectious electropop, combined with a perfectionist aesthetic through creative visuals, symbolism, fashion design, choreography and performance art are absolute musts for the brain of their consumer.
AIDAN wants to captivate their audience in their own reality and carry them through their wildest fantasies. AIDAN’s work is described as “genre-bending”, based on different genres, including IDM, Hyperpop, industrial HipHop, melodic house and avant-garde. AIDAN is fascinated by absurd as well as extraordinary subjects: gender identity, social hierarchy, sexuality, drug abuse.
Their projects are intertwined with personal struggles, and he hopes to bring these to life in a conceptual way. At the moment AIDAN is working on their debut EP, their martial arts techniques and world domination.
VJ ZZeevonkk
ZZEEVONKK is the multidisciplinary project of music producer and programmer Emery van Kampen.
Having grown up with the dawn of the internet, they've taught themselves to code, design, make video games and create visuals with open-source software. Over time they've learned to put their non-binary energy into the binary. Using a camera and sound, they combine it with ASCII, glitch art and emoji aesthetics to create a storm of colours and moving pictures that fit perfectly with the resurgence of Y2k-aesthetics, while still feeling fresh.
About Pretty//Ugly
Pretty//Ugly is an individual organizer and volunteer active in the DIY scene and hosts shows at OCCII – Amsterdam and Roodkapje – Rotterdam. Their goal is to facilitate artists who step out of the “doe maar normaal, dan doe je al gek genoeg” attitude and burst open the narrow framework on what a show is and can be. The impetus is to dance, mosh, move around with our fellow goblins, elves, rats, snails, dogs and cats
