22:00-04:00 | Tickets!
For fans of:
Italo, disco, synths, Hi-NRG, 80s

After a successful and sold-out first edition in January, Italorator will be back at Roodkapje! Join us on March 7th for another night filled with Italo, Synth-pop, and Hi-NRG goodness.
We’re beyond excited to announce that master of synths Legowelt will be performing a live set at the second edition of Italorator! Experiencing a live set from this key figure of the Dutch West Coast scene in such an intimate setting will be truly special.
But the night wouldn’t be complete without Krismika, a core member of the Pinkman and Operator teams, who will kick things off. To top it all off, we’ve invited the owners of Rotterdam’s finest second-hand record shop, Offbeat, to close the night in style.
We know you want to be here - so if you haven’t secured your tickets yet, now’s the time! We’re expecting another sold-out night.

Legowelt
There is no one like Legowelt. His vast musical output spans many different worlds – some real, some imagined - and does so in a unique and captivating fashion that keeps listeners enthralled. Since first emerging in the early nineties as a key part of the Dutch West Coast scene and Intergalactic FM family, he has become a core member of that crew who takes inspiration from Detroit and Chicago pioneers but also fantasy films and sci-fi culture, and is nowadays a modern day techno pin-up in his own rite.

Perenially fascinated by old and battered noise-making machines, his dizzying output is defined by analogue textures and classic values as well as an ever-roaming sense of sonic investigation that veers from techno to freaky house deepness via old school acid. A producer with a rare sense of humor, Legowelt’s productions come thick and fast but always retain high levels of quality assurance. They land on labels like Clone, L.I.E.S., Peoples Potential Unlimited and Crème Organization in the form of myriad EPs but also well received full lengths like The Paranormal Soul and Crystal Cult 2080.

Of course, Danny Wolfers records under myriad aliases but Legowelt is his most celebrated ever since he hit the charts with 2002’s ‘Disco Rout’, a track that really put him on the map. The ensuing years have seen him forever tweaking his mystical, misty and mystic forest techno sounds and have seen him grow in demand as a live performer. When playing in clubs around the world he creates captivating sound tracks on the fly, soundtracks that force listeners to play imaginary films in their heads and dance non stop. Legowelt, then, is a true performer, creator and innovator with a fierce work rate that puts the rest of the world to shame.

Krismika
Krismika is a Rotterdam-based DJ heavily involved in the city’s underground scene, both behind the decks and behind the scenes. In addition to DJing, she works as a programmer for the renowned radio station and cultural platform Operator and is active as an event organizer for the underground record label Pinkman. Beyond these roles, she conducts research on gender dynamics within the Dutch electronic underground scene.
As a DJ, Krismika's sound is wide-ranging, but her main focus is deeply rooted in the sounds of the 80s. Drawing inspiration from that era, her sets often include Electro, New Beat, EBM, Wave, Acid House, and Italo. She has a passion for opening sets and radio shows filled with downtempo oddities, which she showcases in her bi-monthly radio show Same but Different on Operator. Yet, she's equally at ease spinning in a dark, sweaty basement in the middle of the night.

Offbeat Records dj’s
Chris (O;Riordan) and Boaz (Pokko Elective) are the minds behind Offbeat Records, Rotterdam’s notorious underground digging spot. A haven for deep diggers and sonic explorers, Offbeat is internationally known and visited for its razor-sharp selection of second-hand records. Their selection ranges from 90’s electronics to 80’s wave & boogie 12’s and from 70’s cosmic disco 45s to other banging ‘UFOs’ - if it’s in the racks, it’s in their sets. For their set at Italorator they’ll dive deep into their personal collections and will only bring favourites.
