Total Chaos + Acidez + Phane
BAROEG presents:
Total Chaos + Acidez + Phane
FFO: The Exploited, Disturbance, The Restarts
In 2019, Total Chaos celebrated its 30th anniversary with a performance during Tales From The Punx. This year, we can celebrate their seventh lustrum on the other side of the Maas. The diehards push the limits of the law, as one of their creeds is the age-old 'Fuck The System'. It's no coincidence that The Exploited has a similarly titled pogo anthem, as the British concrete punk pioneers are one of Total Chaos' major influences, while adding their own Californian kick to it. And as frontman Rob Chaos once said, "As long as the world doesn't change, there will always be a need for punk bands."
Acidez tore the house down at the second Tales From The Punx and did it even more vigorously a year later at Baroeg with Disturbance. We've said before that they would blow down Trump's wall with a wall of sound. Little Red Riding Hood can handle a scuffle, so the roof only figuratively comes off. Nevertheless, Acidez's Mexican crossover punk remains a powerful weapon.
In the 1970s, D.O.A. was one of the pioneers of hardcore punk. Four decades later, the also Canadian Phane followed in their footsteps, but this quartet kicks the gas pedal even harder from the get-go. Take the venom of early D.O.A. with the impact of Discharge, and you'll have a good idea of what you're in for.
