Chinese Football is a four-piece indie rock/emo/post rock band based in, you guessed it, China. Their distinct and potent guitar/bass driven wistful indie sound mixes brainwashed guitar riffs with mandarin lyrics, and is best described by NME as: “bubbly indie pop and emo built on math-rock foundations”.
The band released their sophomore Win&Lose on New Year's Eve in 2022, a ground-breaking record of emotional indie that knows how to be tamed in moments that ask for it, but is not afraid to blast in full explosion style. The band is heavily inspired by late 90s emo pioneers such as American Football and Jimmy Eat World.
