Roodkapje/Burgertrut is looking for flexible new workers who have experience serving in a restaurant and/or bar! We’re looking for creative, art & music loving individuals who would be a good match for our current team.
Roodkapje is a space for art, food, collectivity, and loud music. We host happenings, exhibitions, parties, concerts & more. Next to that we also host a cultural program consisting of an artist residency by the Hamburger community & an anarchive.
Burgertrut is Roodkapje’s artsy burger restaurant, where you can try different kinds of self-made vegan & vegetarian burgers, next to that we also offer some meat options as well. As Burgertrut is part of Roodkapje you will find yourself surrounded by Rotterdam locals interested in art & music & sustainability.
All the profit that comes from Burgertrut supports the cultural program of Roodkapje.
Job Description
As a member of Roodkapje/Burgertrut staff you will work mainly evening shifts at the bar at Roodkapje or day/evening shifts at Burgertrut in case of staff sickness. This position is a 0 hour contract, which means that the shifts will be flexible & you might work a different amount of hours every week. (max +-8 hours a week) We strive to be a creative and inspiring place that stands out for its friendly staff and inviting service.
We’re looking for someone:
- Experienced in hospitality
- With interest in and knowledge of cultural establishments
- Flexible / easily adaptable to both the Roodkapje / Burgertrut environment
- Organised, efficient and hard working, as nights at Roodkapje/Burgertrut can be quite hectic and busy
- Who is socially competent, creative and open-minded
- With interest in and knowledge of vegetarian and vegan food
- Preferably with a Social Hygiene certificate, this is not mandatory – Who speaks Dutch and/or English
