Honky Tonk Trash Fest // Official Rotterdam Bluegrass festival Afterparty

Hey Y’all! Country-lovers and honky tonk haters alike, come and let your ass get dragged on the dirty old road that’s called Honky Tonk Trash Fest! Roodkapje and Rotterdam Blue Grass Festival will take you by the hand and lead you all night long from hillbilly avant-garde to blue grass on acid and leave you down the road at country karaoke. Yeehawh, it’s gonna be a wild ride!

This year’s official Rotterdam Bluegrass festival afterparty takes place in the nooks and crannies of space, time and the country genre at Roodkapje. Together with the festival we’ve compiled a beautiful line-up of international and local acts taking you on a trip through all the experimental honky tonk corners with Spanish flamenco trash, country doom, narcobilly and Brazilian honky tonk.

Nestter Donuts, all the way from the south of Spain, is the only Flamenco Trash One Man Band bringing dirty wild rock’n’roll garage punk and super LO-FI Trash. Beware: this underground garage hero likes to undress his leopard leotard during shows. Hurricane Joe takes his notorious yet incognito narcobilly sound, mixing Tex-Mex style with the raw energy of punk and grindcore. The Brazilian/Berlin based Mary Lee Family Band is known for their energetic live shows combining prayers, punk-rock and their love for whiskey.
We're wrapping up the night with spooky doom country premiering the never-seen-on-stage Suu by local heroes Segadeath and Ryan Cherewathy.

Put your spurs on your sneakers for some experimental line dancing and smear your throat with the sweetest honey to sing along to the midnight country karaoke led by Roodkapje’s main captain.
