The Hamburger Community presents a spatial audio performance that moves through ceilings, walls and floors. Inspired by the soundscapes of riots and demonstrations - often inaudible, blending into each other, the installation invokes a visceral reaction. By transforming the space of Roodkapje into a makeshift sound system made up of tactile transducers, the audience are invited to enter the chorus, to walk and listen together.

The Hamburger Community 2026 is a group of artists, cultural workers, musicians — with shared suspicions of permanence, and in search of it, still. Their practices are analog by default: handed over in person, experienced live, half-baked and still warm. For them, telling stories is the oldest form of community memory. They treat potlucks as a learning method, broadcasts as entering worlds and textile as a way of holding time.
Together they act as a hot pot: each person flavors a body of water with knowledge they brought in. Nobody owns the broth. In the upcoming nine months, expect collective public takeovers around sound, flavours and exchange — and whatever else spills.
