Sunday Matinée show co-curated with Eli Hooper at the new RK location! Come for the hair of the dog with 2 Rotterdam-based acts that we have been excited about this season + a debut noise act birthed from Oud-charlois’ C3 studios. There will be Drone//Noise, God-worshipping jazz, and Shoegaze. It’s the day to soak up the sun and be amongst friends.
DOOM FEVER
Three-piece guitar rock band that blends ’90s alternative and grunge with modern shoegaze. Drawing inspiration from indie acts like Teenage Fanclub, Screaming Trees, and Dinosaur Jr., alongside modern outfits like Narrow Head, Ovlov, Big Bite & Hotline TNT. The band is keen on fuzz-driven songs, coiled around crashing, splashing drums and lo-fi riffs punctuated by black hole feedback, yet still finding grace in the chaos.
BEIGE
We, Beige, are a 4-piece indie shoegaze band based in Rotterdam. Inspired by the likes of King Krule, Sonic Youth, and The Pixies, Beige is our answer to the spiritual debasement subjected to all on this earth, to uplift our (shoe)gaze to God via groove-heavy distortion and jazz chords.
