Slagwerk is a young collective who have been organising parties and promoting global sounds under the same name for a few years. Their soundsystem is the combination of residents Trime, Terrorriba & Futtø who try to bring their own vision on the spectrum of electronic music. This crew may not be the most visible group of promoters, DJs, producers and graphic designers online or offline, but they sure have a way of finding and sharing exciting, cutting edge electronic music on the internet. Originally located in Leuven, this group of friends balance their output between electronica, grime, ambient and anything else that cannot be placed in a certain category. It’s this nose for true experimental electronic music that has slowly put them on the map in Belgium. With previous parties and interesting guests like australian wonderkid Air Max ’97, rave experimentalist Dark0, the multitalented Torus or James Blake collaborator Trim, they have positioned themselves as a collective that doesn’t care about labels and only looks for pioneering quality in the artists of today’s “Soundcloud generation”.
EYCEE | https://soundcloud.com/
Alexandros also known as EYCEE, is originally from the east of the Netherlands. However he has lived in metropolitan San Francisco/Sydney and eventually moved to the city of Amsterdam at the age of 21. This vibrant city enabled him to further expand his sound and vision to where it is today. Always having his eyes and ears out to different sounds, scenes and parts of the world, he developed a unique taste in music at a very young age. For most part EYCEE is inspired by the UK scene. He grew up listening to Hip-Hop and always had a weakness for percussion/riddim driven music. His sets are characterized by contagious energy, creative blends and lots of rhythmic elements. EYCEE performs in venues in Amsterdam regularly, had several international bookings and has played a variety of festivals. The young selector has supported many and is part of generation of DJs that is dedicated to take over the Dutch and European clubs. His tracks/edits and blends have reached a wide range of clubs over the past year, as well as sets on Boiler Room and support on radio stations like NTS Radio and Radar Radio.
Victor Metske | https://soundcloud.com/
Once a hyperactive soul lost at sea, surrounded by different sounds and scenes – Victor Metske has found a direction that perfectly mirrors his own restlessness and need for change while upholding the things that he has loved in the past. Simply follow his mood through both dark and festive vibes and you’ll be fine.
Holowave | https://soundcloud.com/
Holowave’s own productions are influenced by early grime instrumentals, ambient and club music. In his DJ-sets he combines these influences to create an innovative club atmosphere.
Imhotel | https://soundcloud.com/
Call him a hip-hop beatmaker gone rogue. Imhotel roams the fields that connect downtempo hip-hop, trip-hop, bass, IDM and even Footwork. Eerie soundscapes, synths gone mad and glitchy rhythms welcome you into his world of psychedelic beats.
Wu | https://soundcloud.com/
A nonconformist club innovator with a love for hammering beats, polyrhythms and simplicity. The explosive intensity and unpolished spontaneity in his mixes and productions breathe the atmosphere of Rotterdam’s vibrant, industrial and fast changing environment.
Jonathan Castro | https://jonathancastro.pe/
Jonathan Castro is a graphic designer and musician from Lima-Perú based in Amsterdam, currently working at Studio Dumbar in Rotterdam. His work explores and focuses in digital utopias, hybrid design, visual identities and sounds from the deep.
