On March 22, 2012 the legendary blue spear of Solanum tuberosum (Golden Potato Power) strikes the center of Rotterdam. For a period of 5 weeks Roodkapje ROTTTERDAM transforms into a habitat of the contemporary city wizards Jasper Griepink, Toine Klaassen and Piet Langeveld. Magical performances, rituals, sculptures and experimenting sculptures and there secret sounds will arise from the ‘Epicenter for the Contemporary Urban Wizard Practice’. At the work and research station existing social structures are turned inside out, broken and rearranged in an important manner.
Floors will burst open and the space will be filled with blue smoke. The resurrection of the golden potato brings us back to the forgotten roots of our Earth. Midnight hunt big city buffoon, telepathic bingo, aura makeovers, consults from the golden potato and lovemaking with plants are an extension of the investigations of the trio and will be revealed in happenings.
Happenings will be held on Friday 30 March and Friday 6, 13, 20 and 27 April, 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (free admission)
