The best veggie, vegan and organic beef burgers in town are accompanied by a great selection of art, music, coffee, tea, homemade (vegan) cakes, healthy salads and soups. Best of all, the profit of Burgertrut supports the cultural program of Roodkapje.

Burgertrut is PERMANENTLY closed! 🙁
The curtain is falling, all the burgers have been eaten and the drinks have been drunk. Burgertrut closed december 24th 2025. You know Burgertru as Roodkapje’s cosy hamburger restaurant where you can drink, eat and meet others, all whilst supporting the cultural program of Roodkapje. We started on the Meent, moved to Witte de Withstraat (shoutout Wunderbar), then Hang 5 next to the Markthal, and finally ending up on Delftseplein. With this travelling history, one may wonder why Burgertrut isn’t moving along with Roodkapje to the new location on the Keileweg in the new year. Sadly the answer isn’t as romantic as we hoped it would be, it’s simply not financially responsible for us to continue the Burgertrut.
But! Not all hope is lost, a new café will arise at Roodkapje’s next venue. A new location, an opportunity for fresh ideas and a place where art, music and food comes together in a harmonious and artistic way. We have already started Roodpakje Catering, where Burgertrut chef Paul will be making delicious food to be ordered for groups and events.
So as we flip our last Burgertrut burgers, empty our kegs, and fry our final fries, we want to assure you,
BURGERTRUT NEVER DIES!
