CROWDS (Rotje), NOVO LINE (DE)
SAT 28.07.2012 22.00-01.30h
As long as the sun refuses to shine we’ll just continue to program though the rain. No summery sounds, but noisepop and Atari ST synths.
The last Incubate scene report on Rotterdam already mentioned them, these sweaty Rotterdam shoegazers, Crowds. Pscychedelic noisepop, long hair, shoe staring music to dance, wobble and shake to. They have played all over the country but you can now finally see them in their hometown!
And then Berlin based Novo Line. Nat Fowler started out as guitarist with math rock band OXES from Baltimore and has turned a completely different corner as a solo artist. Fowler misuses a 23 year-old software program running on one megabyte of RAM on an Atari ST personal computer as a live instrument in order to generate random MIDI signals based on a set of changing parameters that trigger hardware synthesizers from the same era. Sound bursts that keeps changing, reforms, reshapes, temporary and irrevocable but ever so danceable!
Rotterdam newgazers AC Berkheimer will be joining the line up last minute, trying out their new songs with the their new drummer for the first time in their hometown! And Louche DJ will enrich the evening even more with her cocky, obscure and eclectic sounds at the Burgertrut.
